Celebrity Fashion Trend: Stars in Stars

Stars have collided on the red carpet, with the most recent fashion trend to hit Hollywood being star-printed ensembles.

Most recently, Fergie walked the blue carpet at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards in a black and yellow mini dress covered in stars.

Celebrities such as Lucy Liu, Jessica Alba and Olivia Wilde have also been seen around town in their own star-studded attire, and the September issue of British Marie Claire, the most important issue of the year, will feature Anne Hathaway wearing stars.

The trend was started by Dolce & Gabbana, whose 2011 fall collection is dedicated to the celestial bodies, and includes skinny pants, dresses and blazers with stars big and small.

This is one summer trend that will probably continue into the fall season.

2011 Teen Choice Awards Brings out Worst in Celebrity Fashion (PHOTOS)

While the night was full of dazzling winners on stage, the 2011 Teen Choice Awards was a major let down when it comes to celebrity fashion.

While young Hollywood stars like Blake Lively and Emma Stone rocked the blue carpet in smart choices, veterans like Tyra Banks and Fergie donned bright, almost comical attire.

Banks arrived in a unflattering yellow-and-black strapless leather Thierry Mugler design that had Twitter abuzz with "Catwoman" references.

Banks herself tweeted:

"Hey there boo! On my way to Teen Choice Awards. Rockin' black leather and gold! Kinda like a fierce bumble bee!!!"

Fergie, also in a garish yellow-and-black combo, stepped out in a long-sleeved minidress splattered with a constellation of stars.

Celebrity fashion face-off: Evan Rachel Wood vs Solange

When ‘True Blood’ star Evan Rachel Wood attended the 8th season premiere of the TV series ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, she chose to wear the star print pants from Dolce & Gabbana’s fall winter 2011 collection.

Another celebrity who took a liking to the trousers was singer and sister of Beyonce Solange Knowles, who wore them less than two weeks later at a party for Dolce & Gabbana, hosted by internet site Net-a-porter.com.

Evan, 23, wore a grey t-shirt, also from Dolce & Gabbana, with a print of actor Dennis Hopper, a leather jacket and grey heels.

Solange, 25, matched the pants with a white shirt, black blazer and black, shiny shoes.

But, even though the girls chose to style the pants in similar ways, they created two completely different looks.

The actress spiced up the outfit with pink lip gloss and wavy hair.

Solange was feeling a vibe from the 90′s and rocked the outfit with a high ponytail with long braids and orange lipstick.
